About Springtime Enterprises sweeping services

Springtime Enterprises usually runs its sweepers through Kent Station's parking garage well before the shops open, and on the handful of mornings a winter when snow instead of rain has fallen overnight, the same crew swaps brooms for blades and clears the upper decks before the first cars pull in. A parking structure catches wind differently than open ground, drifting snow into corners that a plow would miss and a broom handles just fine once the bulk is pushed clear. Working level by level in the gray predawn light, the crew leaves each deck bare enough that a commuter never has to think twice about the drive up. It's a strange kind of swap, sweeper trucks doing a plow's job for a morning or two, but Kent's weather calls for exactly that kind of flexibility. By the time the stores open their gates, the garage looks like any other Tuesday.
