Boyd's Tree Service

About Boyd's Tree Service

Ice has a way of finding the weak point in a tree limb, and on the bench land above the Columbia around Kennewick, Boyd's Tree Service spends winter days out among old orchard rows and street trees checking exactly that. A branch bowed low over a driveway after a heavy snowfall gets taken down clean before it lets go on its own, and the walk beneath it gets shoveled the same afternoon. The crew works fruit trees left from the valley's orchard days as readily as the ornamental maples planted along newer streets, since ice doesn't much care which kind of tree it lands on. Driveways and paths get cleared along with the limb work, so a property isn't left with a mess of both wood and snow at once. A yard goes quiet in a different way once a dangerous limb is down and the ground beneath it is swept bare again, a quiet that lasts until the next cold front pushes down through the basin.
