About Ascend landscaping and maintenance

Badger Mountain takes the sun a good while before the streets below it do, and on the climb up through Badger Canyon the light arrives in stages — ridge, then rooftops, then grass. Ascend landscaping and maintenance starts its Kennewick days in that order, mowing and trimming the hillside lots while the air is still cool enough to work in. Slopes are their own puzzle: water runs off them, mowers want to slide on them, and the edge along a stepped walk has to be cut by hand to look right. So it gets cut by hand, and the fertilizer goes down where the roots can actually hold it, and the trimmings never end up in the neighbor's landscape rock. By the time the heat settles over the valley the yards are done and the day is only beginning for everybody else.
