In March the Sammamish River runs high where it meets the lake at Kenmore, herons standing patient in the shallows while the trail traffic picks back up alongside. Lawns wake at the same moment, soft and thick and badly in need of a first cut. Ecua Landscaping & Construction opens the season there, mowing off the winter growth, trimming back what sprawled through the wet months, and cutting new edges along beds and walks. Getting that first pass right sets the shape a yard will hold all summer, and the difference is visible from the street the same afternoon. The crew covers Kenmore and the towns spread along the river valley.
