About Northwest Tree Service Inc. in Gig Harbor

From the bluffs above the Tacoma Narrows Bridge, where the Douglas firs Northwest Tree Service climbs lean hard into the wind off the Sound, a storm is visible crossing the water minutes before it ever reaches Gig Harbor proper. Those same fronts occasionally leave a rare skin of snow on the roads below, and on those days this crew's trucks go out with plow blades bolted on next to the chainsaws. A fir limb across a driveway and an inch of snow underneath it are often the same morning's problem, so clearing one without the other doesn't really finish the job. The bridge cables hum audibly in a real blow, a sound most people nearby have stopped noticing, though it's a fair warning that the roads below need attention soon. Traffic across the Narrows and the driveways this crew handles tend to clear up on roughly the same schedule.
