About EVERGREEN LANDSCAPE AND MAINTENANCE

Along Beaverton Valley Road the Douglas firs stand close to the shoulder, and the lawns beneath them live in a shifting patchwork of shade. By midday in August the island goes gold at its edges, because this is dry country tucked in the lee of the Olympics, and keeping grass honest through that stretch takes patience more than force. The routine is mowing at the right height, trimming to the fence line, edging so beds keep their shape, and hauling off clippings and fallen needles. The reward is small and exact: a yard that looks tended rather than fussed over. Week after week, that is what EVERGREEN LANDSCAPE AND MAINTENANCE leaves behind around Friday Harbor.
