Lawn Department

About Lawn Department

The rain returns to Adelaide sometime in October and doesn't really leave, and the maples let go all at once into gutters, beds and the middle of the lawn. Lawn Department meets that with a list and works down it. Mow while the grass still wants cutting, clear the leaves before they mat and smother, edge the walks so the wet doesn't blur every boundary, trim what the storms have loosened. Federal Way asks for a methodical hand more than a dramatic one — the same tasks, in the right order, at the right time of year. Do it that way and a yard comes through the dark months looking tended rather than merely survived.
