Perfect Touch

About Perfect Touch

October announces itself in Everett as a change in sound — the first long rain drumming the big-leaf maples above Colby Avenue, then the wet slap of leaves coming down all at once. Perfect Touch works right through it, because grass here keeps growing well past the point most people stop watching. The leaves get cleared before they mat and smother the turf, the mower keeps its schedule between showers, and every walkway and driveway edge gets recut so the lines stay honest under grey skies. Hauling the debris away is half the job; a yard raked into piles that sit all week is only half finished. When the rain finally quits for an afternoon and the low sun comes through, those lawns look tidy enough to be mistaken for summer.
