Satsop Landscaping & Nursery

About Satsop Landscaping & Nursery

Morning fog lifts slowly off the Satsop River outside Elma, and on clear days the two unfinished cooling towers of the old Satsop project rise above the treeline like monuments to another plan. In this rain-fed country plants grow with an eagerness drier places can only envy, and Satsop Landscaping & Nursery puts that to work. As a nursery and a landscaper both, the business works from the plant up: beds laid in, lawns kept, borders shaped around what's growing. Early spring, when the alders leaf out pale green and the soil is soft from winter rain, is when new plantings take hold. Give it a season, and a yard here feels less installed than grown.
