About Woodland Resource Services, Inc

West of Ellensburg the valley floor gives way to pine-covered foothills, and the properties tucked up in that timber sit under a different kind of winter than the open ranch land below — heavier snow load, deeper shade, drifts that linger in the trees long after the valley floor has gone bare. Woodland Resource Services, Inc. works that transition zone, plowing driveways and access roads that wind up through the timber toward homes set back among the pines. Snow up in the trees behaves differently than snow on open ground: it falls softer, sits longer in the shade, and can hide ice under a deceptively fresh layer. The crew treats each driveway on its own terms, reading the tree cover and the slope before deciding how many passes a given stretch needs. Getting a driveway open through timber country, with clean footing all the way to the porch, is a different job than clearing a flat valley lot — and it's the one this crew has built its winter routine around.
