Family Lawn Care

About Family Lawn Care

Saturday morning in a June Ellensburg neighborhood has a sound to it: sprinklers ticking, a screen door, somebody's mower two streets over. Family Lawn Care is often that mower. The work is mowing and edging and running the trimmer around the mailbox post and the fence corners, then blowing the walk so the sidewalk looks swept rather than merely passed over. Grass grows fast here once the irrigation is on, and keeping up with it is the whole art — showing up on the right week, cutting at the right height, never scalping a dry spot. By noon the yard is done and the day belongs to whoever lives there, which is rather the point.
