April in Edmonds City Park is all rhododendron — pink and white and improbable purple, opening under fir trees still dripping from the last shower. Garden Gals takes that cue into the yards nearby, cutting bed edges fresh so the borders curve the way they were meant to, pulling the winter weeds, and laying mulch dark enough to make every bloom look deliberate. The lawn work runs alongside it: mowing on schedule, trimming the tight corners, edging the walk so the grass stops where it should. Shrubs get shaped after they flower, not before, and the clippings leave with the crew. A garden that looks intentional in spring is mostly the result of someone kneeling in the mud in March.
