About MKB Lawncare LLC

Out on the Columbia Plateau, Davenport keeps its yards under an enormous sky, wheat country running off in every direction and the grain elevators holding the last of the evening light. MKB Lawncare LLC works those lawns through the long dry stretch of a Lincoln County summer, when the water has to count and the mower deck rides a little higher to shade the roots. Mowing, edging, trimming along walks and fencelines, and the seasonal cleanups that follow the wind — it all adds up to a yard that reads kept from the street. There is real pleasure in the last pass, when the stripes line up with the road and the edge along the sidewalk goes clean and straight. Come fall, when the harvest dust settles and the cottonwoods let go along the creek, the work turns to gathering it all up before the first hard freeze.
