About New Horizon Landscape & Maintenance

October turns the alders along the creek yellow, and then a week of southwest wind puts all of it on the ground at once. New Horizon Landscape & Maintenance spends that stretch in Clear Lake with blowers and rakes, pulling leaves off lawns that would smother under them by Thanksgiving. The mowing tapers to every other week, then to whenever the ground firms up enough to hold a machine. It is unglamorous, gray-sky work, and it is exactly what decides how a yard looks in April. Come the first mild week of spring the grass under all of it comes back thick, and the first cut of the year is the one worth waiting for.
