Hauls it all

About Hauls it all

October in Clarkston fills the alleys with cottonwood and maple leaves, and the wind coming up the river keeps rearranging them. Hauls it all takes on the aftermath — mowing, trimming, yard cleanups, and carting the pile away so it isn't still sitting behind the garage in February. There is a plain sort of pride in an empty truck bed at day's end and a yard that suddenly looks twice its size. Through the growing months the routine is simpler: cut it, edge it, blow off the walks, move along. Clarkston, the Heights and Asotin all fall inside the day's loop.
