Kastle Tree Service

About Kastle Tree Service

Cinebar barely counts as a town, a scatter of houses along the road between Mossyrock and the timbered foothills that climb toward Mount Rainier's western slopes, with Riffe Lake holding cold and still a few miles off. Kastle Tree Service works the narrow gravel driveways that thread back into the trees here, clearing snow off long private lanes shaded so heavily by fir and hemlock that the drifts under the canopy can outlast the open ground by a week. The lake itself stays a flat grey through the cold months, rimmed with a crust of ice at the shallow edges where the current slows. Between one driveway and the next there might be a quarter mile of empty timber, so the plow work here is really a string of small clearings strung along back roads rather than a single sweep through town. By the time a house comes into view through the trees, the drive is usually already down to gravel, cut clean between walls of snow-heavy branches.
