About Chinook Hydroseeding

Chinook looks out over Baker Bay near the mouth of the Columbia, on a shore that has been home to the Chinook people for countless generations. Above town, the batteries and white officers' houses of Fort Columbia sit on Chinook Point, watching the great river push out to meet the Pacific. Chinook Hydroseeding brings hydroseeding and lawn care to Chinook, spraying a green slurry of seed and mulch across bare ground so new lawns can take hold in the cool coastal air. In April, with fog lifting off the bay and the soil still soft from winter rain, a freshly sprayed yard shifts from tan to a fine green fuzz over the following weeks. Watching mud become living lawn is the small miracle at the heart of the trade.
