Yellow Line Landscaping

About Yellow Line Landscaping

Late spring in Centralia, and the light hangs on until almost nine, running long and gold across the brick fronts of Tower Avenue and the old depot platform where the trains still ease in. That is the hour Yellow Line Landscaping likes best: grass dry, shadows stretched, every edge showing exactly what it is. Mowing, trimming, edging, and lawn care done with real attention to where the turf meets the walk, because a straight and deliberate line is more or less the whole idea behind the name. Half of Washington passes this town on the freeway without stopping; these yards belong to the people who do stop, who live on these streets and look out at them every morning. There is something worth taking pride in about tidy ground in a valley that grows things whether you ask it to or not.
