About M&M TREE SERVICE

Winter mornings in the Toutle valley come with fog up to the treetops, and the fir hills above Silver Lake float on it like islands. M&M TREE SERVICE spends that season on the wet work — dropping a hemlock that has been shading a roof into moss, taking out storm-broken tops, cutting leaners back off pasture fence. In the drier months the job turns to pruning: raising limbs so a tractor can pass, thinning a crown so the wind has somewhere to go. Cleanup out here means gravel drives, long lanes and a chipper that earns its keep before lunch. When it is done the lane is open end to end, the wood is stacked where it can dry, and the fog can have the place back.
