About Forest Road Land Service

Douglas fir does two things to a lawn: it shades it and it drops on it. Forest Road Land Service works the properties where the tree line comes close, under Green Mountain and along the roads that leave town for second growth, mowing and edging and trimming and clearing whatever comes down. Grass under conifers wants a lighter hand and a taller cut, and it pays you back when it gets one. There is a quiet pleasure in a mown clearing ringed by dark timber, the boundary between them sharp. Camas and Washougal, out through Brush Prairie and the rural lots between.
