When the outflow wind comes down the valley in January, the Skagit flats go hard and bright and the grass finally stops pretending to grow. Brownstone L&H works the shoulders of that season — clearing what the wind brought down, cutting the winter shag back when a warm week allows it, tidying edges so a yard still looks intentional under a low sun. Burlington winters are mostly wet and only briefly cold, and lawns here need attention in both moods.
