About BUSCHWHACKERS LLC

In Burley the yard ends where the second-growth fir begins, and that boundary keeps moving — salal and blackberry lean in a little further every wet month. BUSCHWHACKERS LLC works that line, mowing the open ground and taking the grass back to a clean stop against the ferns. Summer afternoons arrive here slantwise through the trees, so a lawn is really a series of bright rooms between shadows, and each one gets the same pass. There is a plain satisfaction in standing at the top of a gravel drive at the end of a day and seeing the whole green shape of a place declared again. From the wooded lots along Burley-Olalla Road out toward Olalla and Purdy, that shape is what a home looks like.
