About Santos Carrillo Landscaping

Every October the streets of Manette fill with big-leaf maple, whole yellow hands of it, and by the time you cross the bridge back over the Port Washington Narrows the wind has already moved half of it into somebody's hedge. Santos Carrillo Landscaping shows up for exactly that season and all the ones on either side of it — leaf cleanup, hedge and shrub trimming, beds cleared back down to bare dark soil. The mowing keeps on later here than most people expect, since the grass in this maritime corner barely stops growing. What lasts is the look of a lawn raked clean under a gray sky, its border cut sharp against the sidewalk. That contrast, green against wet concrete, is worth the whole afternoon.
