Planes come over Boulevard Park low and steady on the approach into Sea-Tac, and underneath them sit small yards with fences, gates and grass that needs cutting every week once June gets going. South Park Yard and Pets works those yards: mowing, trimming around fence posts and play sets, edging the walk, and clearing up so nothing is left where it does not belong. Gates go shut behind them, every time. Midday sun, the smell of cut grass carrying the length of the block, the mower cooling in the shade — that is a day well spent. The route runs from here over to South Park and White Center and back down toward Burien.
