Stutzman Tree Care

About Stutzman Tree Care

When a winter storm comes down the Strait of Georgia, Blaine hears it first — rigging ringing in the harbor, rain going sideways past the Peace Arch, cedars swinging above Drayton Harbor. Stutzman Tree Care spends those days getting to what the wind found: a top out of a fir, a hedge laid over a fence, a maple limb across the road down to the marina. The rest of the year is the slower half of the trade — pruning for clearance and shape, thinning crowded stands along Dakota Creek, removing the trees that are finished leaning. Salt air and soft ground make for surprises, so cuts go in with the ground and the lean both accounted for. The finish is a yard raked flat and a sightline back to the water where a limb used to hang.
