About High Tide Services

Down at Squalicum Harbor, the fishing fleet runs on the tide table more than the calendar, and High Tide Services has learned to work the marina's lots and access roads on that same rhythm, clearing snow off the docks and parking apron before the boats need to move, whatever the hour. A hard freeze on top of a king tide can leave the harbor road glazed in a way that's dangerous for anyone hauling gear, so the crew treats the approach to the water as seriously as the water itself. There's a particular rhythm to working a harbor in winter: watch the tide, watch the sky, clear the ground in between. Getting a boat owner down a safe ramp on a frozen morning is as much a part of the job as any driveway in town.
