e Lawn Care

About e Lawn Care

At noon Lake Whatcom goes flat and bright, and the yards up in Silver Beach run down toward that light through cedar shade. e Lawn Care works these lakeside and creekside blocks, mowing, trimming and edging, and clearing the leaf and needle fall that gathers under the firs near Whatcom Falls Park. Shade lawns ask for a lighter hand, so the cut runs a little higher, the lines stay clean where turf meets root and stone, and weeds come out of the borders before they get comfortable. Grass grows nearly the whole year in this climate, which is a gift and an obligation both, and a steady cut is what keeps a lawn thick rather than tired. By mid-afternoon the mower has gone quiet and the yard sits green and even, the lake glinting past the trees.
