About Bellevue, WA

From the top of the Somerset hill on a clear evening, Mount Rainier sits south of the city like scenery someone hung there, and every lawn on the slope catches the last of the light. This is lawn care kept close to home in Bellevue — mowing on a set week, edges cut along walks and drives, trimming everywhere the mower cannot reach. The Eastside grows grass nine months of the year and rests it for three, so the route bends with the calendar instead of fighting it. Spring cleanups clear the winter's litter; autumn rounds take the leaves before the rain glues them to the turf. Familiar streets, a known set of yards, and the quiet satisfaction of a block that looks looked-after.
