About Shore Pine Land Services LLC

Just east of town the ground drops into an old volcanic bowl where Battle Ground Lake sits spring-fed and dark under the firs, a reminder that this whole prairie was made by water and fire. Shore Pine Land Services LLC works the properties out that way, mowing lawns that sit in fir shadow half the day and cutting back the grass and brush that press in from the timbered edges. Shade turf is its own puzzle: slower, softer, quick to go patchy if it is cut too close. Handled right it holds a deep, cool green all summer. Trimming, cleanup and hauling finish the job and leave the ground open.
