Rock and Dirt Works

About Rock and Dirt Works

Out by the Arlington Municipal Airport the ground goes flat and wide and the sky feels twice as big, especially in July when the Fly-In fills the field with wings. Rock and Dirt Works keeps lawns cut around that end of town and everywhere else in Arlington — grass cut low and even, margins trimmed, driveway edges kept crisp, clippings carried off. There is a real pleasure in an expanse of turf mown flat and uniform, no missed strip, no scalped corner. Rain returns in autumn, the valley turns emerald again, and the schedule holds through it. They work Arlington and the towns spread around the valley floor.
