Do It Green

About Do It Green

There is a reason the alders got their name on this place: they crowd the wet ground around Scriber Lake and anywhere else the water pools, and green here is a condition rather than a season. Do It Green keeps lawns in that green — mowing on a schedule, edging the walks, trimming close along beds and fences, tidying up afterward. Winter barely halts the growth in Alderwood Manor; it only slows it, so the calendar stretches much longer than most of the country would expect. The finish is the reward — an even cut, a clean margin where turf meets path, a yard that looks composed under the cedars. Come autumn there are leaves enough for everyone, and the cleanups run right through them.
