About TIMBER TENDER | Sustainable Tree & Plant Health Care

On Mount Tom, above Woodstock, the forests of the Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller National Historical Park stand heavy with snow, their carriage roads hushed beneath it. TIMBER TENDER, named for tree and plant health care, also clears snow around Woodstock. Snow is hard on growing things, bending boughs, burying shrubs and drifting where it pleases, and a business named for tending trees brings an eye for what lies under the drifts. Clearing comes in the blue hour of a January morning, while the old spruce plantations on the mountain stand over town like sentries. When the last pass is done, the driveway is open and the plantings around it are left as they stood.
