About Towne Excavating LLC

Route 15 follows the Lamoille through Wolcott, and in February the river steams under the old covered railroad bridge while the thermometer sits somewhere under zero. Towne Excavating LLC clears snow along that corridor — driveways off the highway, long dirt-road approaches, dooryards and turnarounds, lots pushed back wide before the next round arrives. Storms here have a habit of starting overnight and finishing right about commute time, so the trucks roll while the valley is still dark. There is a plain pride in a driveway opened up with room to swing around and no berm left across the mouth of it. Cold morning, warm cab, headlights on white — the work counts most on the days nobody wants to be outside.
