Route 2 runs straight through Taft Corners, and a mile off it the hayfields still roll away toward the Winooski, mowed and baled the way they always have been. United Ag & Turf works out of Williston in that same equipment-and-turf tradition, keeping lawns mowed, trimmed and edged from the first rush of May growth to the last slow cut in October. A wide lawn taken in even passes turns light and dark as you walk past it, and getting that right is worth the extra pass. Spring cleanups pull out the thatch and road grit; fall cleanups clear the leaves before they mat down and smother what is underneath. Green ground, cut clean, week after week — that is the shape of the season here.
