Lakeview Landscapes

About Lakeview Landscapes

In late October the hills above Harriman Reservoir go copper and woodsmoke, and the low light comes off the water into Whitingham's dooryards — a good month to see what a season of tending has made. Lakeview Landscapes works this corner of southern Vermont through the whole arc of the year: design and installation that settles new plantings into stony hillside ground, mowing and maintenance that keeps a lawn holding its clean line out to the treeline, and snow removal for the mornings when the Deerfield valley fills in and a drive has to be opened before the sky is. The satisfaction here is physical and plain — the last mower pass laid straight, a bed edged crisp against the grass, gravel scraped bare and waiting in the blue hour. It is care left on ordinary yards in a hill town where the ground never lies flat and no season asks twice.
