North Country Tree Care

About North Country Tree Care

Wheelock rides high in the Northeast Kingdom, a town of steep hayfields and dark woodlots where Miller Run gathers its water from the hills and Route 122 follows it down. North Country Tree Care brings a grower's eye to the lawns of this town, where summer is brief and the grass makes the most of it. Late May is when the Kingdom finally exhales, lilacs opening by farmhouse doors and lawns leaping up toward the long light. A well-kept yard up here is a small declaration against the forest, which is always patient and always close. By September the ridge maples begin to burn, and the lawn below lies smooth as a folded quilt.
