Zampini & Son: Lawn Care, Logging & Full Service Property Maintenance

About Zampini & Son: Lawn Care, Logging & Full Service Property Maintenance

Morning in Weathersfield comes in sideways — fog lying in the Black River valley until a hard white light lifts over Ascutney's shoulder and finds the fields. Zampini & Son works to that light: regular mowing and weed whacking through the long green stretch, brush hogging and flail mowing where a meadow starts creeping back toward scrub, and in the cold months a plow down a gravel drive before anyone's boots hit the floor. The heavier half of the work is older still — whole-tree logging, stumping and land clearing, trail building, field restoration and land preparation that hand a pasture back to the people who own it. Driveways go in and get kept up, fences get set, snow gets moved, and what's left behind reads plainly from the road: an open field, a clean edge, a way in and a way out. Their routes run through Reading, South Woodstock, Ascutney and Brownsville, and out across the Vermont hills from there.
