Jones Mowing

About Jones Mowing

In Waterville the Lamoille's North Branch slips beneath three covered bridges, and the grass along Route 109 grows as if it has somewhere to be. Jones Mowing keeps pace with it, turning shaggy June yards into even rows that look settled by suppertime. Hill-farm country teaches a mower patience: dew lingers in the hollows until mid-morning, and the slopes ask for a steady hand on every pass. The reward: a lawn reading like a fresh page against the hayfields, its borders squared to the dooryard. Come August, when the river runs low and slow over its stones, the cut still stands tidy and green.
