In late October the Winooski valley turns copper and rust, and the leaves come down on Waterbury lawns faster than anyone can chase them — which is exactly when a fall cleanup earns its keep, raking a yard back to clean green before the ground locks up for good. Lawn Rangers works that corridor from Waterbury and Waterbury Center up Route 100 toward Stowe and across to Morrisville, mowing through the long light of summer, fertilizing, brush hogging the rough edges back into shape, tending gardens, and handling spring and fall cleanups for homes and businesses alike. Then February comes sideways off the mountains and the work turns to plowing and snow removal: a driveway opened in the dark, banks squared off clean, a black lane where an hour ago there was only weather.
