About Hodge Land & Lawn, LLC

There is a week in Thetford when the river valley can't make up its mind — frost still lying in the low hayfields at dawn, and by afternoon the mowers running again along the flats above the Connecticut. Hodge Land & Lawn works that hinge in both directions: weekly and bi-weekly mowing, trimming, edging, mulching, pruning, fertilizing and seasonal clean-ups through the green months, hydroseeding and site preparation where a new lawn is being coaxed up out of bare ground, then plowing, sanding and shoveling when the East Thetford dooryards go white before sunrise. Between those two weathers comes the slower, heavier satisfaction — stone walls set into a hillside, a walkway, a patio, a driveway repaired, docks carried down to the water in spring and hauled back up the bank when the light goes short. What they leave is the kind of thing you notice from the road without meaning to: an edge holding its clean line, grass that has been fed and cut and looked after, a plowed drive waiting quietly before the coffee is done.
