The village center of Starksboro is a short white-clapboard stretch along the road, and the town spreads out from it into hill farms and woodlots. J&L Landcare LLC works that whole spread across both halves of the year: mowing, trimming, and edging through the green months, then plowing, shoveling, and sanding once the road crews start salting. Cleanups mark the turn each way, hauling off whatever the last season left lying. A yard cut even in July and a drive cleared clean in January come out of the same instinct. It is upkeep in the plainest sense, and it holds up.
