About DIG PRO

Winter arrives early on the shoulder of the Green Mountains and leaves late, the light going thin and blue over Shrewsbury while the dirt roads stiffen underfoot — and DIG PRO answers that weather with a plow blade, clearing snow through the deep months. In the thawed ones the bucket comes out: foundations dug and footings set for slabs, gravel driveways cut in and repaired, lots cleared, stumps and rock hauled up out of the ground. There is a plain satisfaction in a retaining wall that finally holds a bank still, in drain line laid so the spring runoff goes where you told it, in grading that leaves a yard sitting level and calm against the hillside. Working out of Shrewsbury into the surrounding Vermont towns, this is excavation of the sort that changes the shape of a place and then quietly disappears into it.
