BD Groundworks

About BD Groundworks

Light comes off Shelburne Bay in long silver sheets, and it changes everything it touches — pasture grass in June, bare maples in February, the gravel drives that run down toward the water. BD Groundworks works in that light: mowing and tending lawns through the green months, then turning to the plow when wind off Lake Champlain packs snow hard against the north side of everything. There is a plain satisfaction in a lawn cut clean to its edges, and in a driveway opened before the sky has settled on morning. They work in Shelburne and the nearby towns south of Burlington, where fields still run down to the shore and the Adirondacks sit blue across the water. What the work leaves behind is simple and worth looking at — a yard that holds its season, whichever one it is.
