About Levi Allen Lawn Care

On a Saturday morning the old green at East Poultney is about as quiet as Vermont gets — white clapboard, a steeple, and the sound of one mower somewhere down the hill. Levi Allen Lawn Care makes a fair amount of that sound between May and October, mowing, trimming and edging yards around Poultney village and the roads that thread out from it. The work is simple and it is visible: a straight edge along a walk, clippings swept off the stone, a lawn that looks finished rather than merely shortened. Summer evenings here stretch long and gold over the Taconic foothills, and a fresh-cut yard is a good thing to sit in front of. Come autumn there are leaves to move before the ground goes hard.
