About Sharp Cut Property Services

North Hero is a long narrow island with water on both sides, and you can read it in the grass — wind off Champlain all day, thin sandy ground near the shore, heavier soil back from the bays. Sharp Cut Property Services mows and maintains across that island ground: weekly cutting, trimming along shoreline banks and fence lines, edging, mulch, and clearing up when places open in May and again when they shut down. A clean line where lawn meets lake is one of the more satisfying things a person can make in a day. Out past Knight Point the ferry lane glitters and the Adirondacks stack up blue in the west. Evening here goes on a long time, and the mown yards hold the last of the light.
