About blaisdell mowing and yard work
There is a week in late October when the Lamoille Valley changes its mind — the last mowing of the year gets put away, the plow blade comes off the wall, and Blaisdell Mowing and Yard Work turns with it. Spring here means clean-ups and the dark, deliberate line of fresh mulch edged around a flower bed; summer means mowing and trimming for homes and businesses, and dump trucks hauling material down Morrisville's side streets under Elmore's green shoulder. When winter arrives off the mountains, the work becomes plowing, sanding and pushbacks, and shoveling that reaches up onto roofs, decks and walkways while the valley is still blue with early light. There is tree work too — select cutting, clearing, hazardous trees taken down, views opened back toward the ridgelines — and firewood put up for the long part of the year. What's left behind is plain and deeply satisfying: a drive you can pull into, a yard that holds its season, a place that looks tended.
