About Friend Construction

Middlebury sits where Otter Creek drops over marble ledge and the Champlain Valley opens wide and farm-flat toward the Adirondacks, with the Green Mountains holding the eastern sky. Friend Construction works the rooflines above that valley — roof installation and repair, residential and commercial roofing, storm damage repair — the pitched planes that take the brunt of a Vermont winter and shed it clean. When the weight banks up along the eaves and a night's drift walls in a dooryard, their snow removal opens the way again before the day gets going. There is a plain, physical satisfaction in it: a tight new roof catching the low valley light, a drive scraped back to gravel, a house set square against the weather coming. The work runs from Middlebury and Burlington out across Vermont.
