About Glebe Mountain Garden & Landscaping
In late May, when the West River finally runs clear and the last of the cold slides off the shoulder of Glebe Mountain, this Londonderry landscape outfit is out with flats of perennials and a plan drawn to the shape of the land. They design gardens and then put them in the ground — trees and shrubs planted, beds mulched dark and even, stone walls, walkways and patios set so carefully into the hill that the hill seems to have grown them. All through the green months the work continues: lawn and garden maintenance, fertilization, spring and fall cleanups that leave a Vermont dooryard swept bare and ready. The satisfaction is a plain one and it lasts — a perennial border humming with July color while the mountain goes blue behind it, a yard in October that still holds its edges after the leaves have come down.
