Hyde Park keeps its village up on the hill — courthouse, spires, a green with room to breathe — and Mount Elmore sits off to the south watching the whole arrangement. Home Front Gardens works the lawns beneath that skyline: mowing, trimming the edges, cutting clean lines around beds and walkways, and hauling the season's litter out in spring and again in late fall. Lamoille County greens up later than most of Vermont and then does it all at once, so June is a sprint and August is a rhythm. A village lawn cut straight and finished tight along the walk is a small, ordinary triumph. It makes a whole street look like the day is going well.
