East of the village the land tips up toward the town forest, and Hollow Road goes in under hemlocks where the air runs ten degrees cooler than the field it just left. Mow N Maintain works the clearings and dooryards along that edge — mowing, trimming, and keeping the lawn's border honest where the woods would happily take it back. Grass at the forest line grows in shade and full sun on the same property, which means two different cuts and a bit of judgment about each. Done well, a yard out there looks as though it had always been a yard, with the trees standing back politely. It is steady, unglamorous, deeply satisfying work.
